They Do More Than Kill Unarmed Black People

I was riding back from the ATM this evening and encountered a common site: a car waiting to turn left as pedestrians crossed the street while another car behind it blared its horn in impatience.

This happens all the time in DC. You try to mind your own business while waiting to cross some intersection and some yahoo starts shooting rounds with his Mac-10 cause you're not plowing over the pedestrians. Usually there's nothing you can do, lest you get shot, but today something different happened.

A cop pulled the bastard over.

Jerky McFogHorn got a stern talking to. It was fantastic! The cop talked to him like a child,

"What did you expect him to do? Drive over those pedestrians?"

Then pulled my favorite.

"You're not from DC, are you?"

It's not as good as, "This is DC motherfucker!" which has been explained to me by certain police officers before, but it's still pretty classic.

Sure, maybe the cops occasionally play target practice with young black men, but every once in a while they get things right. Way to go!
